At the origin of the creation of "Le Gin de Christian Drouin", Guillaume Drouin sought aromatics which could complement and sublimate the balance of juniper and cider apple.
After having separately distilled many herbs, a final selection of 8 plants had been made, all of them, with the exception of juniper, coming from the aromatic universe of a great Calvados. It then remained to find the way to create a harmony between these 8 perfumes in the same way in which a large blend is prepared. Find the proportions, adjust the recipe. And finally understand that this operating mode would only allow working on "Small batches". The plant after plant distillation process requires each time to adjust the proportions that give the best blend.
Christian Drouin's Gin is the only Gin in which more than 30 varieties of apples and 8 herbs are included in the composition. Each flavoring is distilled separately before being reassembled in a proportion unique to each Batch. Rose and lemon bring their finesse. Ginger, vanilla, cinnamon and almond give the gin a smooth and spicy body while cardamom reinforces its roundness and fruit. Juniper and apples complement each other between heavy and high, spicy or crunchy notes.
